4ND8 FilterMar 16, 2006

A very strong Contrasting Filter. Great Cloud shots come about while using this! Again, not quite professional grade, but compatable to what i have and need it for. I liek the cases they come with! Worth the $$!

5Sony Neutral Density Filter KitFeb 11, 2007
By D. R. Johnson "Globetrotter"
My sister and I (both enthusiast photographers) have purchased this product and we love the results the filters provide. It helps reduce the exposure. Whatever light it lets through the lens it does not affect in color, only the brightness. It also helps with providing a shallow depth-of-field by opening up the lens. And by the way, the clouds are more beautiful now that we use the filters.

4Nice Neutral Density FilterFeb 11, 2007
By yruhere
What do you get: 1 ND8 (0.9) neutral density filter, 1 multicoated lens filter, two plastic cases and a black pouch for storing the filters.

Performance: Neutral density filters reduce the amount of light entering your camera. So if one has to compensate with a larger aperture or a longer exposure when using a neutral density filter. Using ND filters with long exposure time causes a moving object to become more blurred and creates a nice motion effect of waterfalls, rivers, etc. without causing any overexposure. The performance of the Sony VF58M is reasonably good but not necessarily great. There was no visible loss of quality when the filter was put on and I did get the 3 f-stops reduction as expected. The additional plain multi coated filter serves as a great lens protector and can be used when the polarizer is not in use.

The bottom line: It's a nice accessory to have.
