 Defective right out of the boxMay 17, 2010

To save time, below is an excerpt from the email I fired off to the Sunnylamp Corp regarding the lamp I purchased.
"Regrettably, the projector lamp you sent me is defective. Right out of the box, the bulb was not secure to the plastic housing. I carefully attached the metal retaining clip. After inserting the lamp into the projector, the first message to appear on the screen was to replace the lamp. The lamp is so dark that I had to increase both the brightness and contrast to the maximum limits. It is worse than the original lamp that needs replacement. I tried it for a few days, but it is unbearable to use."
Now, I'm waiting to see if they'll honor their product - I'm hopeful.

Great quality and received product very quickly. I use the bulb in my projector longer than the published specs (actually until it doesn't work anymore) and it looks great the entire time.

Try to get an original Sony Lamp because the one I got here must be imitation only lasted about 3 1/2 months just enough for the warranty to be expired. it must be defected because It did not gave me any warning at all.

We have a projector and keep it on the second brightest setting. The lamps last a really long time - we are still on our first one from two years ago.

Of course the true test will be how long it lasts and I wont know that for a few years.
Cant quite tell if this is OEM or not; tend to think not - the product description should be more clear about that.
