 Sony Mavica Camera Lives!Dec 07, 2010

The Sony Mavica Digital Camera uses mini-discs for storage of pictures and videos. Unfortunately stores don't sell these discs any more because newer and more inexpensive cameras are available. These new cameras don't have the ability to produce the same high quality photographs, however. It's all about the cheaper, faster, less expensive throw away kind of society that the US has become, isn't it? The Mavica produces photographs of a much superior quality but that is not what America wants. Too bad for Americans that we have lowered our standards for the sake of money and "cute-ness". Thank you, Amazon.com for keeping this product on your shelves.

Thank heaven Amazon carries these disks, since they are difficult to find. I like this format since you don't need any special equipment to view your pictures. Excellent quality!

Although the Sony Mavica has been discontinued, I still publish photos taken with this camera. Can't do it without the discs, though. Glad to find a good resource online, particularly because they are not available locally.
