Awesome!Sep 08, 2010 This MP3 player is terrific! Easy to use, simple navigation and, what I love most about it, it works great with Linux! No special software required to use this item with a Linux operating system. I, myself, use Ubuntu 9.04. Plus, the battery will even recharge while you have the player connected to your computer. Beats both my first mp3 player, which took a singel AAA battery (this is my 2nd mp3 player) and my old Virgin Mobile Slider Sonic's file transfer feature, which actually drains the battery while it's hooked up to the computer. I highly recommend this product!
Now with RESUME feature!Sep 07, 2010 Now that this product is at the stage where there are bargains and refurbished, I have adopted it and retired my m250s (like the one I reviewed previously). This tiny unit performs just as strongly as those did. I have no problem keeping the non-changeable battery charged. And with this generation, one can switch from playback to FM, and then go back to the recorded matter where one left off. Lack of that capability (except with Audible files) was my one big galling gripe with the earlier generation. This is a delightful product!
Great BuySep 04, 2010 The Sansa MP3 player is compact but packs a big punch! The sound quality is great; its very easy to manuever around the applications in the device, and I love that I am able to clip it onto my purse strap or jeans for easy access.

BOOK LOVERS BUY THIS PLAYER!Aug 28, 2010 NOTE this REVIEW is for BOOK listener only! BUY the CLIP not the CLIP+!
If you haven't tried the regular CLIP for books, I recommend it. Books, unlike music, average from 5 to 14 hours long. They have to be chopped to 45/60 min files for downloading. These parts do not correspond to chapters. When you stop you may not notice which part number you stopped at. When you restart the CLIP and select your book from the Audiobook folder, it highlights the last part number you were at. When you select that file, it asks you if you want to resume or start from the beginning. Also if you are listening and are interrupted you can pause and restart. If you missed what was being said, due to loud noise or your boss... you can hold down the rewind and go back to the exact spot, even if you were at the beginning of a new file and wanted to rewind to the end of the last file. This scenario happens often when listening to books. That is why the CLIP is so great. It knows the difference between a book part and an individual song when you load the files to the AUDIOBOOK folder!
WARNING !!!
Unlike the original CLIP the CLIP+ treats each Audiobook part as a separate song. If you accidentally fast forward to the next book segment (file) you cannot rewind to the previous part. You can only jump back to the beginning of the previous part and fast forward through the 45 min or 60 mins to the place you want. If you miss this place and fast forward to the next part you have to start all over at the beginning of the previous file.
The tech support does not even know that this is a problem. I was told mine was broken. I exchanged it for a new one and it does the same thing. Even if you create a play list (they recommended that as a solution) it treats each book part as separate song and starts from the beginning of each file. I have tested this against my regular CLIP using the same books and transferred the same way.
SO BUY THE ORIGNAL CLIP WHILE IT LASTS.
By the way, don't use MEDIA PLAYER to transfer, it does not recognize the AUDIOBOOK folder, you have to drag and drop into that folder with your File Manager. If you are using AUDIBLE use the AUDIBLE folder. If you downloaded library books with OVERDRIVE software make sure to transfer to the Audiobook folder.
I am a loyal Sansa fan; I had 2 Sansa Express's and 2 Sansa Clips, but this new CLIP + is such a disappointment!
SANSA why are you ignoring the growing Audiobook market and downgrading a such great product?
Minor Flaw, Major MistakeAug 23, 2010 This was a Great MP3 player... When it worked, which was for 2 DAYS! I don't see why there wasn't a cover put over the USB port. Seriously who in the Design dept. decided "Oh we'll save an extra Nickel and leave the port exposed so when the consumer takes it for a workout, it will allow sweat to Destroy the player!" Brilliant Sandisk, you just lost another customer...
