excellent quality trimmerFeb 10, 2011
By Blurooferika Got this trimmer 2 months back and use it almost every day. It makes precise cuts to within a milimeter, something you don't get with a cheaper model (which made a few of my cards a little less than perfect in the past). No more with the Rotatrim.
This is a solid tool. It is heavy, so be prepared, because if you're storing it inside something; it not only takes up a lot of room, it's also bulky to bring in and out of a cupboard, which I do to avoid it taking up so much counter space. As for durability, there is no question it will last me for the next 20 or 30 years, so I feel the big chunk of change I invested was worth it.
One other negative that might be most relevant for scrapbookers/cardmakers is that because there's a 2-inch-wide plastic finger guard to the left of the blade, you can't do cuts on skinny strips of paper. I have to haul out my old inferior trimmer for that. Guess I could remove it, but I'd probably wind up minus half a finger tip! If you're only cutting large photos/big pieces of paper, I'd say definitely go for it.

Nice, but...Dec 15, 2010
By Simply Tim Made by Sheffield. Pricey. Heavy. Very well made, but I don't really like the slide cutter jutting out beyond the edge of the board. Depending on your angle of approach - particularly on critical cuts - the slide bar sometimes blocks the view of what you're about to cut. Takes some getting used to.
Then again, in all fairness, other cutters I've tried with flush cuts (and have worn out) are nowhere near this well made.

good paper cutter - but not for multiple pieces of heavy stockApr 15, 2011
By Bevin This is a really sturdy, good quality paper cutter. It's very precise. The only draw back for me is that you can't cut multiple pieces of card stock. You can only fit about two pieces under the guide ruler thing. If you are looking to cut a stack of paper or cover stock - this is not the cutter for you.
Best paper cutter everNov 11, 2011
By Me This cutter is Fabulous!!!! It is used by the pros to cut. Always cuts straight-cuts paper up to 15 inches long - self-sharping blade - sturdy. I have tried cutters that the craft stores sell and they are worthless as far as I am concerned. But this one is expensive but if you want a straight cut every time, this is the cutter to buy. It even cuts chipboard! The only thing that I found to be negative is that cutting less than 2 inches is a challenge but there are ways to get around that. Love this thing.

We bought this to cut a bunch of paper at varying lengths. The cuts are clean but don't try and cut more than 5 at a time. We got an Ideal knife style cutter that cuts just as good and will cut more at once.
