Perfect for meOct 25, 2008
By BlueSea When we sight-see I have camera hanging from my neck all day (I take LOTS of pictures) and do not need the case (the lens cap is good enough), but I need a lightweight, compact and padded case to put the camera in to put into backpack or wheelie (when flying) to protect the camera. This case fits the bill well.
It has a notch on each side that the strap can hang outside the case when it is closed. The case has 3 compartments: one inside and one on each side outside.

just okAug 17, 2008

The coolpix case is OK for carrying a spare card and a spare battery; the difficulty is that there is no strap or loop to secure the case when you take the camera out to use.

Nikon brand, yes. Nikon quality, noSep 23, 2008
By Aj Viljoen I bought this bag for my FANTASTIC new Nikon P80. Well, the camera fits in the bag, but there's no space for my extra battery, or for the lens cleaning pen (which I also bought).
However: this is the worst purchase I've made all year.
Why? The bag is poorly made. You could buy almost any other bag, and it would be better quality than this.
-The quality of the fabric is nothing like the fabric used in Lowepro bags (for instance).
-The padding is so thin to be almost non-existent.
-The bag looks cheap.
-The top doesn't fit the rest of the bag properly, so if it rains, your camera will get soaked.
-No strap.
-This bag is much more expensive than anything similar on the market.
I bought a little Lowepro bag for much less than the price I paid for this bag, and am using that instead. I suggest you do the same.

Just a CaseMar 11, 2009
By M. Fair This case is just for your camera and maybe a few SD cards and a cleaning cloth. That is it. It is perfect if that is what you are looking for. I have a larger case for my Nikon P80, but I wanted a little one to offer protection while in my bag. This is exactly what I got with this case. If you are looking for a case to also hold your charger, a little tripod, etc., then this is not the case for you. I took mine to Italy for 2 weeks. It gave the protection I wanted while in my check-in bag and then I could just toss it in my purse while seeing the sights and not worry about my P80 getting hurt.
As I said, it did exactly what I needed...protection while in my bag. I am happy I purchased this case.

item description is wrongDec 25, 2008
By A. D. Lopes This product is described incorrectly. It does not have a belt loop. I bought one expecting the belt loop and am very disappointed. Looking at other websites, I now find descriptions that say the wrist loop on the camera is what is used for carrying the case and camera. What good is that? What do you do with the case when you want to use the camera for picture taking?
