I fnd it very funny to be able to outfit these (much less than profesional) cameras with tools that help to make professional images. The shutter release works as advertised, doesn't hurt the wallet, and is really necessary (because getting a crisp focus with these cameras is hard enough to begin with).

A must-have accessory for the Holga, this ingenious shutter release is a great tool to help improve your long-exposure shots with this camera. Works great with or without a tripod, and you can't beat the price either! Just buy it already.....

I was really looking forward to using this with my brand new Holga 120 I also purchased on Amazon. When I got it, it looked and felt like a quality item, however, when I went to place it on my Holga, the notch on the bottom didn't line up with the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera. The mount is dead-center on the bottom of my camera (next to the B N switch) but the notch on shutter release to accommodate this is slightly off center. Take a close look at yours to make sure it'll work before you buy it.

I bought this last year for my holga 120N and it fit well and worked perfectly. There was no locking mechanism so the trigger had to be depressed for the duration of the shot. The problem is the cable broke after a couple months and jammed. I got a replacement from amazon and that jammed. I would not recommend this due to it's short life.
