"next to direct"
This Hoya filters are not only made out of a cheap very thin glass element but it won't thread into any other brand type filters. I suggest to you all, make a selection of what type of filters you will be using with your rig and stick with them. I have bought nothing but Tiffen filters made in the USA and have had absolutely no problems. BTW buy a step up ring larger than the diameter of your lens. Otherwise you will have problems using more than one filter with the lens in it's widest angle.
