Great Idea but Cheap MaterialsFeb 15, 2009
By Deeno
"Deeno"
This is a very convenient device. My husband loves it for his palm, phone, blutooth headphones, etc. BUT...The quality of the item itself is disappointing. Plugs are very flimsy. The metal contacts on the palm plug "smushed" on the first use. On closer inspection, all the metal components of the various plugs ar thin, cheap metal that l ook like they will bend very easily. It still works tho, so not worth the hassel of a return, besides hubby won't let me because he likes it so well. I will just have to see how long it lasts. You would think for $100 bucks it would be made with higher quality materials. Sold and shipped very very fast by J&R Music & Computer world. I got it in about a day and a half. So I would order from them again. My problems are not this sellers fault but a manufacturing defect on the part of Bluelounge."

LOW QUALITY CONNECTORSApr 15, 2009
By HiggetyPiggety Our Samsung SGH-A373 may be on the compatibility list but "The Sanctuary" connector does not insert. iPod connector inserts but makes no electrical connection. Palm Centro connector conductors collapsed on first insertion and never worked.
We attempted to communicate with several Blue Lounge contacts: Allan, Deborah, Dominic and Adam. Months later, no response.
Good product concept.
Bad business form.

Wanted to love it, but low-qualityJun 01, 2009
By Julie This is a really cool concept, and I wanted it to work so badly - my husband is a total gadget geek and this was perfect for our many devices. I actually read the mixed reviews here and then bought it on Red Envelope so I'd be guaranteed a good return policy, just in case (since it is only sold through 3rd-party vendors on Amazon right now). When I took it out of the box, it seemed to be nice quality and I checked the connections, which also seemed sturdy. I got it all set up and plugged in and then proceeded to hook up our Blackberry, Samsung Ace, iTouch, and LG Envy. First of all, the Ace didn't fit at all - we checked the product guide and we were definitely using the plug that they say fits a Samsung Ace, but it was too big for the slot. We checked the other plugs, too, but none of them were a match. Ok, on to the next. iTouch was fine, LG Envy was fine...and my Blackberry seemed fine, but the next morning it was not charged. I fiddled with the connection and every time I plugged it in, it would show it was charging for a few seconds and then stop. I even tried unplugging everything else in case I was overloading the device, but it did the same thing. I plugged it back into my real charger and it worked fine, so my only guess is that the plugs are poor quality. So, with one of the phones not charging and one of them not fitting at all, I packed it up and returned it.

trying to be all things to all people means not very good for anyoneJun 06, 2011
By claudiaann This would be a great product if you owned one of every different cell phone on the market. Unfortunately, in my household, we have multiple devices that use the same plug (an iPhone, iPod, etc. or blackberry & bluetooth headsets using micro-usb) and there is no user flexibility here. Id have to take off the top, unplug the only usb port they provide and plug back in what I need every single time I want to charge something. Its a shame because the concept here is great, but instead of letting the user customize this with their own needs, they have restricted it to one "flexible" extra port and 10 fixed useless ports.
Works GreatOct 23, 2011
By Jerry Palmerino Jr This is my cellphone's bed. It also recharges here.
The connectors are high quality and on par with the original manufacturer's connectors you received with your phone. In fact, the iPhone charger has been updated with a symbol on the top to let you know which way to plug in the cable into your iPhone/iTouch.
Admittedly, it is a little bit expensive, but otherwise it does exactly what it says and does it quite well.
