Great but....Jun 30, 2009
By MeridianX Great but there are a few niggles. First off, the product works as advertised. Good coverage with only a one stop loss from the existing flash unit. No batteries or cords necessary - gig plus.
Niggles: The unit is a bit cumbersome to use with certain lenses due to the fact it gets in the way of manual focus. It also is a bit heavy on the flash unit keeping me a bit uneasy about keeping it attached for long lengths of time.
Overall if you are looking for this type of accessory it will deliver.
Ray FlashNov 23, 2011
By David De Bar The Ray Flash I ordered fits my Sony A900 with F58AM flash attached very will. It works as advertized, providing very even exposure.

Enjoyed this thing a lot, is big and difficult to keep in place but you can do very interesting photos with it, I use it with my 19mm to do close ups, love the effect. If you are looking to experiment with flash this unit is great, at $200 not bad for a ring light of this size and if you use it with the canon flash you can use the TTL meter. Go for it, you have my blessing.
