Wanted to try a ring flash--read reviews of Elinchrom pro ringflash, Alien Bees ringflash, and the Expo Imaging Ray Flash. Figured for a couple hundred bucks, how bad could this be?
Using this with a D700 and SB 900 flash. Totally not impressed. I'm possibly missing something but this doesn't do much for me, I don't think it produces the kinds of images that I see published as ringflash shots with the unique halo, etc.
Have worked and will continue to diddle with this but if anyone is interested, I'd part with this at a nice discount.

Gives you great lighting and a fun circle mirror for those fun after wedding shots. This is also great when I have a portrait that needs some extra lighting to light up the eyes.
