Good productFeb 21, 2011

This is a good product. Transfer speeds very good. Although it could be my understanding of how to operate it, it is somewhat difficult to remove from my computer once inserted. No documentation to speak of comes with the product.

Like all Delkin products it just works...Nov 16, 2010
By Ric Kasnoff What can you say...it works...just plugged it in to my MacBook Pro and started ingesting images and movies. It'll be nice not to have a bigger card reader in my kit when I travel.
Build quality, ease of use and reliability all seem on par with my many other Delkin products.
Just picked up 2-Nikon D7000's and so had to tool up for SD cards (my D3's use compact flash) my first look was at Delkin...over the years I've come to expect a combination of pro level performance, reliability and reasonable pricing from their products...cards, card readers and even the Gecko mounts...all work day in and day out with no fuss...and this seems no different.
and as a bonus with Delkin the customer service is great...low key, friendly and very approachable.
have fun...Ric

Great Product!Feb 17, 2009
By Peter Glove This ExpressCard is a huge time saver for me. I always keep it in the slot of my MacBook Pro, so when I need to download pictures from my Camera I have it always ready. The transfer rates are much better than external USB card readers.
You're better off with a USB 2.0 card reader.Dec 12, 2011
By Peter A. Levine End result: In a test of moving 10 .MOV files from an 8GB SDHC card to my MacbookPro Desktop, it took 8 minutes to transfer. Redoing the same test with my USB 2.0 card reader (on a 1 foot extender cord) only took 7 minutes to transfer. I sent mine back.
Pros: It fits in flush to your ExpressCard34 slot. So it is easy to take with you. SDHC cards slide in and are detected quickly.
Cons: It is actually SLOWER than USB 2.0. Running on a 17" Macbook Pro with OSX 10.7, Core i7 and 4GB of Ram.
Causes random problems on MacBook ProsJun 20, 2011
By Dean Baird It was the card, and no one suspected it.
When this card is inserted in my MacBook Pro (15" early 2008), waking from sleep causes an alarm. The Apple Store techs call it an SOS. It's a loud beep that repeats every 3 seconds (the sleep light also flashes).
Apple replaced the logic board and the left I/O board, and checked the RAM and RAM controllers. The computer checks out, but the problem persists. While at the Apple Store, the techs tried the card on other MBPs and were able to produce various problems, including distorted video on one. The common thread for all problems was the Delkin ExpressCard. It served as a random problem generator for MBPs. For what it's worth, the card does pass pics from the SD to the computer. But you can't leave it in when you put the computer to sleep.
I paid the premium ($40 rather than $20 or less for most brands) hoping this one would be trouble-free and durable. It may be durable. But it's caused multiple visits to the Apple Store and now I have to buy another card. I'll try the $13 SanDisk version this time.
UPDATE: The $13 SanDisk version can be inserted when the MBP wakes from sleep! No alarms. So it really was the Delkin ExpressCard that was the dog here. As much competition as there is out there, I'm inclined to steer clear of Delkin in the future.
