Good idea poorly executedSep 03, 2010 We're charging so many things these days this type of appliance has appeal. The catch is construction quality. As I've fouind with other items from Bluelounge the price is high, but it feels cheaply made. Check out alternatives.

Expected more for the $$$...Jul 19, 2010 excellent design concept... but poor execution:
mass manufactured poor quality construction; the device charge connectors appear and feel cheap & delicate. the cover that conceals the connectors is coated with a rubber finish and sits atop the housing at a slight incline. with that, the devices (smartphones & mp3 players) do not sit securely and slide away from the top cover. made in china.. at a fraction of a fraction of the US retail price. for $60 I expect superior quality and finish along with durable device connectors. save your greenbacks... don't settle on this product. purchase what you need. not what you think you need.

Love the concept - but it needs working connectors!Feb 21, 2010 We finally decided it was time to organize our device life and bit the bullet with this cute product. Liked that it did away with the need for a powerstrip and lots of extra cords and "wall warts" all around. We needed a place for an iPhone, iPod Touch, another cell phone, our bluetooth, etc... Once we got it, we set it up very quickly--only to find out that one of the iPhone/iPod connectors is poorly constructed. One works just fine but the other didn't charge reliably. It isn't the device either, since both devices charge properly on the other connector. We like the design enough to try again but once burned, twice shy. If the next one comes in as a dud or a success, I'll add a comment to this review.

Practical SolutionJan 25, 2010 If you are a neat freak trapped inside a geeks body, then this product is for you. As a geek, you're probably packing half a dozen electronic gizmos from iPhones to iPods to Blackberry's or some other portable electronic gear. This product gives you a single space to charge all of them. The best part is, one electric plug. You can plug in up to six devices simultaneously. When not in use, extra cords stay hidden inside the shell. The black model pretty much goes anywhere, but they do have it available in white as well. I charge my iPod and mini-usb smartphone while my wife charges her iPhone. No fighting over who uses the outlet. It really is convenient.
But hey, you're going to say, why should I have to pay $xx to buy something that comes free with my product? A valid question. And if you're asking, then this product probably isn't for you. It is really a design element and a convenience for those of us who abhor clutter. So if minimizing clutter and streamlining your charging station is your goal, few products will match up to the Bluelounge Refresh.
