I chose this cablebox, rather than a few others that were cheaper, because it included the power strip that fits inside and because it looks nicer than some of the others do. I decided to buy this after my cat ATE the ends of our phone charger cords (he has some weird fixation on them, and refuses to leave them alone!). I had previously been rigging up various cardboard boxes to put our power strip and cords inside of, but my cat saw this as a personal challenge and always got into them, not to mention it was hard to get anything out of them when I needed to. I finally bought some new phone chargers and ordered this at the same time, and ever since I plugged everything in my cat hasn't been messing with it. He can't get into it and I haven't seen him trying as much as he was before. The lid fits snugly but not so tight that you can't get it off. everything fits inside perfectly, and it's tall and wide enough to accommodate bigger plugs. It was the perfect solution for cat-proofing our cords, and I would imagine would work well for keeping plugs away from small children too.

I am so pleased with this box to hide my cables. I was hesitant because it was a little pricey, but for me I just could not stand to see my power strip sitting on my nightstand. Since I use my night stand as a desk of sorts with my laptop, phone, kindle, and other items this really works for me. It is the smaller one so only 4 things will plug into it. There is a larger one if you need more. It might seem like the box is large but you really do need the room if your cables are anything like mine. The color is fantastic and I would not hesitate to buy more as I needed to. For me it really was an answer to my design aesthetic woes.

It helps keep unsightly cords & plugs all together and in a neat looking box. It also happened to be the perfect base for my external hard drive to sit on. The price is a big high, but the product works & I'm happy with my purchase.

My 2 year old son was getting under my desk and pressing the "pretty orange light", so I got this and he has lost interest in anything under my desk now. Score one for Daddy!
Inside the case is a smaller than usual power strip that sits loose. Don't expect to get a lot of plugs in it. But another great thing about this is, you don't have to worry too much about the cables being neat. Just make sure you can get the cables you want to go out to fit through the open slot on the side.
